Team Belgrave face the Marathon!!

Once again this year the staff of Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy are participating in the Potters Arf which is being held on Sunday 14th June. This year will also see a further challenge with some staff competing in the Potteries Marathon four weeks later on Sunday 5th July!

The school’s charity of choice is the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and all monies raised will be donated to this fantastic local charity that cares for terminally ill patients. Staff have been working tirelessly to prepare for their role in the marathons, whether it be a relay of three, six or twelve miles, or the full marathon.

A member of staff at Belgrave has recently had a family member at the hospice and they could not speak highly enough of the treatment that they received. The hospice has been treating terminally ill patients for 40 years and there are lots of families that have been affected in a positive way by the staff at Douglas Macmillan.

We are looking to raise as much as possible for both events so any donation will be greatly appreciated. Mr Greenhalgh has created a Just Giving page so it is really easy to donate. All you have to do is text BSBA50 and an amount to 70070. E.g. BSBA50 £5 to 70070.

Why not come along and support the staff, it would be greatly appreciated!
