To kick start reading in Autumn Term, we have held 'Come Read with Us' sessions in EYFS and KS1.
Parents and carers were invited into school to a shared reading session with their child's class. Teachers read a story to the class and modelled the type of questions that parents and carers can use when reading with their child at home. Parents and carers were then able to read some books with their child in the classroom.
It was fantastic to see so many parents and carers attending the sessions and sharing books with their children. The delicious refreshments were a hit with everyone too!
