SPORTS JOURNALISTS

Combining an interest in PE and Sport with writing and digital technology skills, this talented group of Key Stage 2 children will now be found attending regular sports fixtures across the city as well as covering our Intra-house competitions in school.

Supported by our PE and Digital teams, they are expanding their journalistic knowledge and have begun to produce their own video reports of some recent School Games events held at Fenton Manor Sports Centre.

Three of our Sports Journalists attended an event at Fenton Manor on Thursday to report on a Y3-4 Multi-Sports competition.

138 participants from 12 primary and special schools attended

Our journalists created two amazing vlogs on the event which show the range of activities on offer to the competitors and how much fun was had.

Track Athletics – Sprint, Hurdles, Tunnel, High Stepper

Decathlon – Long jump, Speed Bounce, Target Throw, Javelin, Chest Push, High Stepper

Tennis – Ball Racquet familiarisation, Target Serve underarm, Throw/Catch Across the net
