WELCOME TO
Our School
It gives us great pleasure to welcome you and your child to Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy, which is part of the St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust. We are proud to be a warm, nurturing and inclusive school community where every child is known, valued and supported to flourish.
At Belgrave St Bartholomew’s, we see ourselves as an inclusive family under God, where each child is valued as a unique gift from God. Our strong Christian foundation shapes all that we do and guides us in living out our school values of courage, compassion and respect in our daily relationships, learning and worship.
As a Church of England school, we seek to promote the teachings of Jesus through the way we care for one another, while also educating pupils about other faiths, cultures and traditions. This helps our children to develop understanding, empathy and appreciation for the rich diversity of our school community and the wider world.
We pride ourselves on being an innovative and forward-thinking school, committed to providing inspiring learning experiences that develop communication skills, wisdom and a sense of hope. By nurturing aspiration and encouraging children to believe in themselves, we equip them with the confidence and knowledge they need to succeed.
Our ambition is to prepare our pupils to become successful global citizens of the future – individuals who are thoughtful, resilient and ready to make a positive contribution to society. Working in partnership with families, we aim to ensure that every child leaves us well prepared for the next stage of their education and for life beyond our school.
We look forward to welcoming you into our school family and sharing the journey ahead together.
Kindest regards,
Mrs L. Baker & Mrs R. McNamara

‘Loving each other as we love ourselves.’
Matthew 22:39
From the minute you step inside our academy, you will see that we all work towards one main aim; ‘Loving each other as we love ourselves.’ (Matthew 22:39). Every child and adult is encouraged to flourish and reach their full potential regardless of age, gender, ability or faith and we do this together, as a family.
High expectations for good behaviour are fundamental if our children are to develop positive long-term relationships and remain happy and safe. This is one of the many outstanding areas highlighted in the academy’s most recent Ofsted inspection. Pupils constantly demonstrate the school’s values and high expectations through exemplary behaviour. They respect adults and each other. They work collaboratively, showing tolerance and sensitivity to the needs of others. (Ofsted, March 2017)
At Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy, we recognise the important of strong relationships with families and the community in order to support children’s learning and celebrate their success. We do this by opening our doors and inviting family, friends and members of the community to share in our worship, achievement celebrations and curriculum outcome days. We have a vibrant and creative curriculum where children’s learning is enhanced by specialist teaching and a wide variety of extra-curricular sporting activities and after-school clubs, for pupils in all key stages.
