Our School’s Home Learning Program
In the event that Home Learning became necessary again (as it was in 2020-21) Nursery, Reception, Year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 would still be able to learn from home.
Online platforms for learning include Spelling Shed and Times Table Rockstars. Other links to online learning are shown below.
Access to remote education would include daily Phonics, Maths and English activities shared on Class Dojo. These would be complimented by a weekly paper pack of activities which will focus on key skills. Parents can upload work and evidence of work to the Class Dojo portfolio.
Children would have access to a 1:1 iPad at home. All work would be set through Showbie and staff would be available to give live feedback during the times shared on timetables. Each day children would have access to English (Reading and writing), Maths and foundation subjects. To promote structure and healthy minds children would have a Monday Worship and also celebration assembly every Friday. Class teachers will allow children to access ‘Class Discussion’ twice weekly to enable them to catch up with friends in a safe and monitored environment.

ENGAGEMENT & FEEDBACK
In the event of Home Learning, teachers would track the engagement daily. If the children are continuously not accessing home learning contact via phone would be made with parents. The class teacher may also want to speak to the children to encourage them to complete their vital home learning.

For pupils with particular needs
Children that have additional needs will have their activities and learning adapted by the class teacher after guidance and support from our SENCO & Assistant Principal, Miss Crawley. If your child has additional needs and would require additional support to access Home Learning, please contact your child’s class teacher.

REMOTE TEACHING & STUDY TIME
If required to learn from home, your teacher would share a weekly timetable on Showbie/Class Dojo. This would give an overview of tasks and show when your teacher would be available for live feedback.
