Agents of Change
At our Church of England school, we believe that every child is a powerful agent of change, capable of making a meaningful difference in the world. Rooted in our Christian ethos and guided by our core values of courage, compassion and respect we nurture our pupils to become thoughtful, proactive citizens who care deeply about the wellbeing of others, both locally and globally.
We encourage our children to engage with real-world issues, fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy through service, advocacy, and action. Whether supporting local food banks, raising awareness for global environmental challenges, or championing inclusive practices within our school community, our pupils are empowered to lead with heart and conviction.
Our Junior Leadership Team (JLT) plays a vital role in this mission. These young leaders are actively involved in shaping school initiatives, promoting pupil voice, and driving projects that reflect our commitment to justice, stewardship, and kindness. Through their leadership, they inspire their peers to stand up for what is right and to act with courage in the face of challenge.
Pupil Leaders
At Belgrave at Bartholomew’s Academy, we are proud of the active role our pupils take in shaping the spiritual life of our school. Our Chaplaincy Team and Worship Leaders are central to this, offering peer-led support and leadership in collective worship and spiritual reflection.
Both teams have received specialised training in partnership with the St Bartholomew’s Church school community, where they have learned about the value of worship and chaplaincy, and developed a toolkit of skills to help them lead with confidence, empathy, and purpose. This training has empowered them to support their peers, contribute to worship planning, and lead moments of reflection across the school.
A key outcome of this collaboration has been the creation of the St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust Prayer, a shared expression of faith and unity that reflects the values and vision of our wider school community.
